Strike up the Band: Cherry Blossom Parade

I feel the framing on this shot is just about as good as you could want it. The framing is let down by the exposure. It seems you have gone for a very contrasting shot and rightly picked the mid range exposure. The down side of this in such a contrasting subject is that his hat is burnt out and his face almost non existant.

Maybe strong fill flash or just go for the face would have helped the image.
