Fog of Souls, September 10, 2002

I left my lightmeter on to find it DEAD, and forgot batteries, so I

guessed and bracketed my way throgh 4 rolls (3 B&W, 1 Color). I think

this was f8 at 60th.

Very nice mood. If you do any photoshop work, try to clone the water all the way into right hand corner to get rid of rocks and walkway. Just a suggestion.

The instant I saw this, my reaction was "ooh." That's a good thing since I don't ooh often. :) I agree that the bottom right is distracting however. But instead of cloning the water over it, I wonder how it might look if you just cropped above where the mess ends. You'd be chopping the photo off right under the supports for the bridge, however I don't think that would be too close and I think it would work out quite well.

great shot - seems like just the right angle to have pointed the 21.

I go under the Verrazano almost every day on a ferry to NYC, and I haven't seen the bridge look this majestic.

wonderful image... I agree with the cropping... I did it simply by making my window smaller and it looks amazing! Colours seem to come out much nicer without the dark rocks.

 

Again, amazing shot! The souls story makes sense.

Great stock-looking shot of a great bridge. I always thought the Verrazano was supremely San Francisco-esque.

Gave me chills. Now that I think about it, I've never seen this before either. Haunting.
