He was really happy to see that someone is interested in taking his photograph the other way I was happy more than him because I found a lot of character in him & he kindly allowed me to take his photograph.

The gesture and facial expression tells me that he did not want his picture to be taken. I think this should be respected.

I do love this photo. My only suggestion would be to look at the yellow coloring. It may be that the yellow is a tad over casting the whole photo. You can see it a bit strong in the face hat and hands. You might try backing it off a bit and see what you have. Just my 2 cents to a very well done detailed photo.

... The title suggests that the gesture is one of thanks but even more, his facial expression suggests a person who didn't want his picture taken. With that said, that is one interesting looking hand—all or part of which might make for a nice image alone. I suppose it's conceivable that you could even blur the face to the point where he's not recognizable. In that case, no one would have to be offended that the image is being shared in a global forum.

As a "newbie" here, I am enjoying taking in this (among others) striking image. Having said that, however, I responded similarly to two previous comments regarding the subject's expression reading as "No". But would blurring his identity result in a photo with the same directness and integrity? The yellow is beautiful; i wonder if a lighter touch would leave a stronger over-all effect. An arresting photo.
