I don't their faces need more "life". The image would not have the same impact if you could clearly see their faces. I like this shot the way it is...

The right side of the face is underlit( because of the shadow cast by her hair. This is an uncomfortable pose and composition. The model doesn' seem at ease there's a tentative quality about this that betrays inexperience with the genre.

Feel better now that you've inserted your silly little 'tit for tat' comment? I expect you had to search hard in my portfoilo to find something which you thought suited your purpose. What a fragile ego you must have. The lighting here is intentional, to support a mood of gloom and uncertainty, and the weather was dull and threatening. Moronic? - maybe you should look in the mirror.
