ldavidson 4 Posted July 2, 2008 This has a classic, old masters feel to it. It is stunning, the colours are perfect. I would love to know how you achieved this effect. It is gorgeous. Link to comment
milena_safrova 0 Posted July 2, 2008 I normally do not check and rate portraits but this one is exceptional. The painting-like elaboration and moody atmosphere. Great work Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 3, 2008 Exquisite. One would even say, "Too exquisite," except for the young model. Delicate though her features are, they are strongly cut, and the blacks of her very large pupils give her gaze great intentness, and provide the only blacks in your picture. Link to comment
vicenteconcha 8 Posted July 10, 2008 Exceptional, your sensitivity creates pure romanticism. Will return in a few days, I can not rate as you deserve. Congratulations. Vicente. Link to comment
mark_starr 0 Posted August 21, 2008 This is such an absolutely charming portrait - the painterly quality you have achieved here is really spectacular. The combination of softness in the background and as she fades into it and the crispness of her eyes, nose and mouth are simply wonderful. This is just a perfect image - mesmerizing. When a portrait can do that, with someone the viewer doesn't even know, it has really hit the mark - this is a portrait! Mark Link to comment
celasun 0 Posted September 7, 2008 I believe many people ruin good portraits by trying to make them more interesting using digital tools. Photographs like this are the exception: A beautiful portrait made even better by complementary & judicious use of digital interventions. All parts & colors in agreement with the rest. My best wishes... Link to comment
jkilgo 0 Posted October 19, 2008 It is difficult sometimes to strike the right balance between the original image and the digital alteration....I think you have done a nice job here for sure. The layering is just subtle enough to not over power the image...and great job matching the patterns with her dress. Great pose and expression from your lovely model. Well done. Link to comment
