Very nice shot

Interesting elements of foreground to fill in the composition effectively

Lovely light and clouds formation, too.

Very well balanced on top of that.

Great exposure control within the whole frame.

I like it a lot

Cheers

Beautiful light and a feeling of huge depth thanks to the wonderful clear air.

Excellent work.

Excellently captured and composed. Foreground grass, water reflection, mirror-imaged background and dramatic sky all in one outstanding photograph. Congratulations! - Lester

It is difficult to understand the voting appreciation of the site. The technical details are perfect, the light is good .... It is not fair to vote a photo like this with 4 ... Although the voting is not important, there has to be a fairness.

Usually I don not like such centered photos. But this one works fine for me. A really good controlled exposure this. Lovely photo! This goes straight to my favorites.

This is stunning Kah Kit! This is one of the most beautiful places on earth (that I have seen) you have really captured the mystical aura of Banff.

Kani, unfortunately ratings don't mean anything on this forum anymore. There are lots of jealous people out there who manipulate the system to put down others' work and build up themselves. Just yesterday I busted 3 accounts used to sabotage one of my photos. While administration has deleted these accounts, I'm sure there are a lot more out there. However there are a lot of good things about photo.net. It has taught me a lot and given me good enough exposure to establish myself as a professional photographer without having the need to market my work.

Superb shot Kah Kit. Love the subtlety of the light and how you captured the serenity of the scene. It's hard to come up with original shots of Rundle but you've managed admirably.

The symetry is " broken" by the weeds in the FG, it is a beautiful light and reflection, and a real beauty of nature ( special sky formation) well observed and composed .

Wonderful color, very sharp & crisp focus. Excellent composition & DOF. The reflections are just outstanding giving you a fantastic feeling of depth, looks like nature at it's purest. Great capture !

Wonderful light and reflections.....Beautiful image. Sadly there are jealous people who down rate in order to try and boost their own images on nearly every photo site. I fail to see what they achieve in the end ! Rgds, Tina.

Spectacular lighting and composition. Love the delicate detail, cloud reflections, and the exposure's wide dynamic range. Lovely image, Kah Kit! Your landscapes are inspiring. Are you using HDR imaging techniques? Or is the ND filter enough in achieving the high dynamic range? I'm going to Banff next month. Any tips?

Ken, never any HDR, just ND grads. Very occasionally I will use a second exposure for blending by hand to smooth out the ND grad line, less than 1% of my images, and none in the portfolios you see here.

Everything in this image ties in beautifully. Gorgeous sky, reflection, detail and I think the composition is perfect. One of those images that you just know the moment you clicked the shutter, you bagged a winner. The post processing looks perfect too.

Excellent shot Kah.

I can't believe people are complaining about other people rating it whatever they feel is appropriate. It's a photo critique site. If you don't respect the freedom of people to vote what they think you shouldn't be on here. This is a great image. People may have downgraded it because this has been photographed from this exact spot millions of times, and you can go there almost at a whim and get a photo like this. It doesn't mean it isn't a strong image, but it's not a difficult image to achieve.
