matthijs 0 Posted June 29, 2008 I like it. But I'm not sure if it's any good. TIA, Matthijs. Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted July 1, 2008 I like this too and see potential to become even better. Unfortunately it is little weak missing certain visual impact. Makes me wonder whenever your PC monitor renders this darker than my calibrated display? Also I'd like to know whenever the original is a JPG or RAW? I like the pattern the spinning wheel has created as well the splash of water the wheel left behind. Composition is OK also, the red and that white stripe. Only all too light, I really miss some blackness in blacks to give this any solidity, punch. Would you care to work further with this, Matthijs? Link to comment
matthijs 0 Posted July 2, 2008 Thanks for your comment. You're right about the picture being very light. I played around in Canon DPP, maybe you'll like it better now. Matthijs. Link to comment
matthijs 0 Posted July 2, 2008 I forgot to answer your question: it's a JPG. I only shoot RAW when I'm sure that I want to make a big print or take an otherwise important picture. After playing with RAW for a while I'm currently trying to make my camera do all the work... Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted July 2, 2008 I'm delighted to see your improved version. It was really worth the effort and appreciate your willingness to communicate. For my own part I regularly work on RAW originals though so far not done any prints. EDIT: By the way, did you know it's possible to update the initially uploaded photo by selecting in Options "Edit Image Info" and the browsing to the edited version. Unfortunately it seems to take some time before the change will be visible, I know having done it few times. Link to comment
