reddragonlady 0 Posted November 3, 2002 Very nice. I like the way it lights up the leaves. What did you use to light the pumpkin? A flashlight? Link to comment
alex_swain1 0 Posted November 3, 2002 I love it. Looks like a bit of an extended exposure due to the sharp light peaking through the top of the head. Link to comment
james_wilderhancock 0 Posted November 5, 2002 thanks for the comments. this lantern was powered by one votive. long exposure accounts for the rest. Link to comment
tonygattuso 0 Posted November 5, 2002 I like that the face is not looking at us as is "normal" for jack 'o lantern shots... and that the lantern is actually doing some lighting. Link to comment
christian deichert 1 Posted November 6, 2002 Well conceived (concieved? i before e, except after...whatever) and well executed. The expression on the jack o'lantern is a little cartoonish for my taste, but I haven't carved one in years so I guess my taste doesn't count for much in the world of pumpkin art. I have to say that the tiny size makes it hard to critique. Easy for me to say, since I don't make my living off photography and therefore I don't have much to lose if someone creeps my stuff off the internet, but I'd think the large copyright image would be enough. michelle_cox 0 Posted November 9, 2002 It's hard to see clearly, even in the large size, but if you can get past that and the too-much jpeg compression, it looks like a pretty cool photo. I'd love to see this one in a larger size. The only actual photo nit I have is I'd like to see the pumpkin turned just a little bit more towards us. The left eye is almost out of our view and that's bugging me. Otherwise, it's a very nice image. Link to comment
