v_carr 0 Posted June 25, 2008 hello, this is a splendid and timeless image that deserves a little more care with the photoshop work. The sky has obviously been burned in darker with little care given to the top edge of the mountain range that shows an unnatural darkness. The trees on the left middleground also reveal layer masking. The clouds are in my opinion too dark as they are not ominous storm clouds, but puffy sunny day clouds that would balance the top and bottom of this image if they were lighter. I love the textural quality that B&W brings out here. Link to comment
starvy 7 Posted June 25, 2008 excellent composition. no amount of criticism in what i am about to say below takes away from the fact that this is such a good picture. i think your photoshop work is a little poor. the sky in the back seems rather out of sync with the rest of the image. the tonality of the distant mountain just feels wrong. do please fix that and you will have a superb picture. clayton_m 4 Posted October 19, 2015 This is an exceptional image. My only quibble is with the dark section in the sky. Perhaps a split neutral density filter was used to pull down the sky and was bit over-done. Cheers, -Clayton Link to comment
