squirrelman 0 Posted June 21, 2008 Great face and a very interesting effect with a daring use of overexposure, but hard to judge because monitors can vary so much. Based on what I see, I probably would have went for more tonality and detail in the face. Link to comment
mark_starr 0 Posted June 21, 2008 I find I agree and disagree with the above comments - in other words, I think this is excellent as it is, but another and different portrait could be made using the suggestion above for more tonal range in the face. I think you would then have two excellent images. This portrait does what a portrait of an unknown person (to the viewer here on p.net) should do - make me wonder about her - can you tell us anything about her? Either way, this is excellent, and thanks for sharing it-Mark Link to comment

billysyk 0 Posted June 21, 2008 by far (IMO) your most interesting portrait. The contradiction said with the white pure dress and background against the old and scarry face shows the interesting person that is may be hidden underneath. Secondly it does a great job (although centered) to show an antithesis on the softness against the hard face with lines. Great contrast work. If I had taken this photo and seen this I would delete many portraits of my portfolio. I'm doing it already with many photos of mine. What would go this one step further is make her with closed eyes or with a black band around them...just a thought. The whole purpose of photography is imagination in creation. Really great work Link to comment
