catherinevankempen 0 Posted June 21, 2008 Hi Seth, I am new to the digital alterations stuff which is why I've been browsing this stuff. This also means I know next to nothing about how to critique it, I'm going purely on instinct. To me, this image is very overwhelming. I love the old photograph that is portrayed in the center, but then I don't get the connection between the images and colors in the background. I lose the b&w photo which is a shame because I really want to study that image. Maybe if the background layers didn't show through the b&w ... ? That's my 0.5 cents worth. Thanks for letting me practice on you. Cheers, Catherine Link to comment
wynn1 0 Posted June 21, 2008 Hi Seth, Boy your getting all the newbies, I also am new to Photo.net. However I'm not new to PhotoShop. I've been using it for three years. I love you image, the colors are beautiful, and I really like the effect of the B/W photo blended in. Keep up the good work! Wynn Link to comment
catherinevankempen 0 Posted June 21, 2008 You know, I was just browsing through the forum again and I keep on getting drawn into this image, when its a thumbnail I like it, it seems I only get overwhelmed when I am seeing it on the screen which it probably doesnt help that I have to scroll up and down to get see the whole thing. I wonder how I would react if this was hanging on a wall, ... just a thought. Link to comment
