photos by sundee 0 Posted June 21, 2008 I've done about a dozen seniors so far and this is one of my favorite photos. Would love to hear what you think about it, what can I do to improve. Thanks for looking. Link to comment
suspendedmoments 0 Posted June 21, 2008 I like the model placement, the textures here... unfortunately, I think there may be too much space around the model? Too much fore ground... The white top is washed out and 2/3 void of detail? The barn wood to the left, could be cropped in a little... the patterns repeat in that direction. She has a pleasant smile and good general pose... I like it overall Link to comment
paul rollin 0 Posted June 21, 2008 Sundee: If you compressed this image from a larger, higher resolution, version for posting here, you can crop at will. However, when I saved your photo, and went to PS to give it a try, it looks like there isn't much you can do, if this is the original. Your image will pix out, and the resolution will fall off, to the point that you won't be satisfied with it. I like the shot as it is, except, as was previously mentioned, the exposure could be tweaked a bit.The girl is beautiful. That being said...It is probably pretty difficult to get a bas shot of her. photos by sundee 0 Posted June 21, 2008 I did reduce the size of the image to make uploading to PN faster. I was up late the other day updating my PN Portfolio with all new material. I do see that I could have cropped more from the left. Thanks much for the comments. Link to comment
bernie moore 6 Posted June 21, 2008 Sundee, This is a wonderful candid, compositionally. Previous poster's suggestions on cropping are good. I don't think you have a real fine focus here though. I've looked at some of your other "seniors" many of which are in better focus. I think you do better when you use a flash fill. F2.8 is a really wide aperture and has a narrow depth of field. Try not to have such a large aperture unless of course it means losing the shot. Regards, Bernie Link to comment
