Richard - I'm really glad you like this so much. I had fun chasing these little guys around, and they are quick! I'm pleased with the light and the shutter speed and how it shows the wing motion, but my favorite part is that curly tongue all rolled up and ready. Thanks for stopping by and commenting... much appreciated.

S - Thank you very much!

Hi David,

This is an interesting and enjoyable shot. I was staring at this in the larger mode trying figure out what on earth was in the mouth of the moth on the right. It looks like one of those party favours that little kids get at birthday parties. I was thinking you must have added it for a laugh, or to see if people were looking closely. Then I read your last comment. This is so interesting, I had no idea that moths had roll out tongues! You captured the feeling of their busyness so well. The colours are wonderful. I like the little spashes of light on the wings and petals.

like a party favor! Thanks for the chuckle... now I keep thinking of these guys partying at the (flower) bar. Of course, it's BYO favors! :-)

Thanks very much for the very kind words... much appreciated!

David, what attracted me first is the nice color palette ,and feeling of movement of the moths. Nice difference of both of them (The second looks like a "plane" ready for landing;-)). I like the violet flowers in FG vs. the brownish shallow DOF, and the diagonal direction of the flowers in there that adds a nice tension. The frisky light( and nice shadow on the first one) on the whole and the blurriness, adds a feeling of a dreamy atmospher.

Pnina, An airplane turning for final approach is exactly what I thought of when I first saw this frame. I'm glad you like the angle (worked on that) and the DoF. I'm glad to know your reaction to this, and you know how much I appreciate when you stop by and give me feedback. Thank you!
