Paine's Creek Sunset

Whattaya think? Dead honest critique please.

I think the composition is great. I like the green in the foreground and the contours leading out into the distance. The DOF, of course, is equally good because you've captured the sunset and the texture of the sand. I want to dig my hands into it! I also like the fact that it's atypical as far as landscapes go. I'm not looking at a vast horizontal thing. I don't see any flaws to call attention to, but at the same time, I'm not compelled or deeply moved by it.

Can you think of anything I could have done differently that would have made it move or compel you?

Nice composition - lines, different structures... Maybe teh sun seems a bit too bright, but general impression is good.

Yeah. I tend to have a hard keeping the sun under control. I don't own any GNDs, and I'm not a huge fan of HDR. Trying to black card one second exposures is tricky. I still haven't mastered it.
