chip phillips 0 Posted June 10, 2008 This is one of my favorites from last spring. I've made a few minor adjustments. Comments are much appreciated. Thanks for looking! Chip Link to comment
chip phillips 0 Posted June 10, 2008 Thanks for the rating anonymous. Please tell me what you think might help pull this image out of the "average, fair" category. I really appreciate comments for lower ratings. Link to comment
magnar_b_rnes 0 Posted June 10, 2008 Wonderful landscape photo! Top rythm, colours, composition! Link to comment
salvatoresaitta 0 Posted June 10, 2008 I think it's one of the best view I ever seen, wonderfully taken into a picture. Link to comment
shea 0 Posted June 10, 2008 Wow, these colors are amazing. Also love the mood or feel of it. Only thing I would maybe change is: if you were a little higher you would be able to see more of the buildings and farm, you know, get above that little hill. Link to comment
chip phillips 0 Posted June 10, 2008 Thanks very much for your comments!! I am kind of surprised by the ratings this time around. Lots of 4's and 5's?? My last post of this image, distracting elements in tact, brought in mostly 7's.....Maybe I should have left it. I like this rework better personally, and this is one of my favorite images. Hmm....Am I missing something here? Link to comment
shea 0 Posted June 10, 2008 I don't put any stock in ratings. If they are too lazy to comment then their opinion isn't worth your time. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted June 11, 2008 Great composition and a beautiful image. I'm not sure about the difference in color between the purple-pink (obviously I didn't learn my color wheel) distant fog and the orange sky; the two together seems a bit incongruous. Great area that I missed this spring. Link to comment
free2run 0 Posted June 11, 2008 Very eye-pleasing image. Love those curves and color layers. Link to comment
ron e dobbs 0 Posted June 11, 2008 Fantastic landscape....great color....composition....technique....light and lack thereof.....thank you for sharing. Best to you, Ron Dobbs Link to comment
jtipton 0 Posted June 11, 2008 Chip--I have lived and traveled this area for years and have to say you captured the magic of the Palouse. Great Composition and I love the colors. This looked familiar so I am humbly attaching a picture I took several years ago late in the day, early spring. I thought you might enjoy the contrast. Anytime of day it's beautiful country. Thanks for sharing. ---Jim Tipton, Spokane Link to comment
younes 0 Posted June 11, 2008 Man, Kevin and yourself are making me regret my choice of heading to the ocean instead of the Palouse...this is an outstanding shot! The light is just sublime. Link to comment
