llgarcia 1 Posted June 7, 2008 For me, the square format perfectly works here to compliment the excellent composition. The tone is very appropriate and I like the accent of little brightness in the center of the interest together with the solitary cloud. Just perfect! I would rate it 7/7 - Lester Link to comment
pbajzek 0 Posted June 8, 2008 This definitely conveys a feeling of loneliness/isolation, with a slightly surreal quality. I think the clouds over the house really make the photo; I'm not sure how I interpret them, but they force a second look. Link to comment
eugenio_pastor_benjumeda 0 Posted June 8, 2008 I love the composition and the edition of the sky. Very well done Dan. Best regards. Eugenio. Link to comment
ben heaven 0 Posted June 10, 2008 Dan this is beautiful. this image is immediately appealing, but I love studying the details such as your choice of composition, toning, and the way you have caught that cloud as others have mentioned. I expect that this looks fanstatic as a print. I think i could learn a lot from looking through your gallery - wonderful stuff, cheers, Ben Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted June 10, 2008 Such stillness and beauty. It is as if the night was sneaking in, to slowly settle upon the last vestiges of light. Interesting how an image of such clarity can generate such a dreamy state of mind. That littler wisp of cloud over the compound is perfect. Link to comment
danbliss 0 Posted June 11, 2008 Peter, Eugenio, Ben, and Gordon, thank you for your very kinds words. I really appreciate it. Gordon, your comments are probably more poetic than the photo. Thank you again. Dan Link to comment
