Guest Guest Posted September 11, 2002 Is it just my imagination, or does this model look very unhappy. I find the eyes (and general expression) a little disturbing. Link to comment
steve_patterson 0 Posted September 11, 2002 I think it's that mixed expression that makes this wonderful photograph, the uneasy combination of youth and apprehension. Reminds me of the Laurie Anderson bit where the customer goes into a florist's shop and asks the florist what flower represents our endlessly, endlessly moving into the future, and the florist replies: "White lily." alex_khakhalev 0 Posted September 14, 2002 It is a Zen Photography! I don't understand this term to the bottom, but just feel it. 10/10 Link to comment
robert_turk 0 Posted September 26, 2002 Very nice photo. Something of the woman's skin tone nauseates me a bit. I don't know if this was the effect you were going for or not. Interesting however, if a bit green. Link to comment
photoriot 16 Posted September 28, 2002 I see the model's expression reflecting the fact that she is balancing the flowers. It reminds me of the famous portrait of Churchill in which the photog had just stepped up to him and taken away his cigar - his bulldog expression and the one in this picture nicely show the confrontational aspect of portraiture. marie_delorage 0 Posted October 4, 2002 For its simplicity, this is powerful. You really should be a professional, Emil. Link to comment
marios pittas 0 Posted October 4, 2002 I am the odd in the croud on this one.. Position of the model: good. Square format works well... model expression: ? "Help me not smile 'cause the flowers are going to drop?" Shoulders.... "Must bend one side else...." I don't know.. It looks like an odd photo to me... Link to comment
badong_escubil 0 Posted December 13, 2002 I have to stop looking at your photos because I'm getting more and more frustrated with mine. Please keep raising the bar, us mere mortals need our gods. Link to comment
ric_s 0 Posted November 22, 2003 Again Emil you capture the pure vulnerability of the girl, love the toning of the the background - would have liked a little more light on the right, but its a great portrait. She has an uncanny resemblence to Diana ...? Ric Link to comment
erikj 0 Posted December 17, 2003 nice photo and composition, the flowers look a little too big, especially for her delicate frame. Link to comment
1234.li 0 Posted October 19, 2006 Well there is no doubt about it, you have been very busy at work. I must say the only word that comes to mind after looking at your 100 plus collection, "Respect" Link to comment
