Acetone print..

This is a special technique.. A color copy print was taken and put on a fine print paper. Then a lot of acetone was applyed, and the print was run through a fine printing maschine ( for grafic works). The result is a kind of transfer technique. Handcolored after..

Wow, this image is incredibly beautiful. I don't know what to say except that it is beyond photography as I knew it.

The technique matched and enhanced your subject beautifully. The lack of fine detail only serves to add to the mystery of this woman, begging you to look at her longer. A wonderful piece of art Emil. I enjoy all of your work and I'm in awe that you get such sharp photos of people with light painting. They breathe don't they?

It's strange cause I must admit that in general, I don't like too much the photos that are transformed by technical stuff, and moreover, when a photo looks like a painting, I often think that it's cheating in the sense that today, it is as if we didn't really need painters anymore as it can all be done on photoshop! And better even. I don't know if I'm very clear but well...Anyway, what I want to say is that I really like this photo! It's really good! The darkness, the movement of the dress, the hair...I don't have a clue how to do these things with coffee, ashes and all that stuff, but the result is great! You're an artist man.

I agree with all the comments!! It's a fantastic picture. "Fells" like a painting. Just enough detail and sharpness (to the original photograph, not the texture) to give a dreamlike effect. The pose and lighting is also perfect! A 10/10!!

BTW, you should really give this picture a title.

Objects and themes are somewhat deviated to narrow private one only.

What about to break off that, Emil ?

:-))

Technique - yes, interesting, but it's the outline and composition that make this image stand out of the rest.

It's perfectly composed in geometrical terms, balanced like a japanese character executed by a master calligrapher.

"This is a special technique... a lot of acetone was applyed" Ran out of coffee again? Acetone, mud...WHATEVER!

This is the first photo I've felt compelled to comment on here in quite some time. Finally now I see the entire point of the bustle - what it must have been in its day - and I think it should make a comeback. And be worn in just this way. A very nice image. Almost primordial.

Good it keeps coming on the first page - THIS is the one that deserves to become POW, not the pitiful fake that is hanging there now (however nice the fake may look, it's not a photograph)

Sometimes I'm left wondering what the term "fine art photography" is meant to encompass. But, a picture is worth a thousand words, as they say..and this picture didn't leave me wondering at all. Truly beautiful.
