cycler48 8 Posted June 4, 2008 Very powerful! It amazes me that in such a supposedly rich nation, we have so many homeless. Maybe we're not so rich after all. Link to comment
margaret1 0 Posted June 4, 2008 Totally not my favorite because it hurts. So, it is doing its job. Great, sad image. Link to comment
5711 0 Posted June 4, 2008 nice idea, but if you do know nothing about the social system in the usa, you actually would think thats just some homless guy and a flag in the background. my idea would be to add some more social-contrast, some additional information, to set things straight. i know, i argument like everyone was poorly educated, but i just think that this would be necessary to make it more of a statement than "just" an image :) cheers Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 4, 2008 oh, I am so shocked here!!!! and nobody cares :( It is incredible how a human being is not helping another human being!!! Thesedays this planet Earth is dying with its humans and animals! and in some year, all the homeless will die from starvation!!! and even Africa! I am ashamed to be a Human being :( I am with all my heart and soul with you dear Birte :) Thank you ;) Biliana Link to comment

rascal64 9 Posted June 5, 2008 Thank you Birte. For your powerful words...your inspiring images...your passion and compassion for all the vulnerable populations and for stopping by to hear my voice too. When I first read about your frogs...I felt hope. I hope that they are flourishing. Link to comment

jim_pankey 0 Posted November 19, 2008 The U.S. has ignored the homeless for too long; now, however, with the housing crisis, the bailouts of Wall Street and banks and a worsening situation, we can only look forward to more scenes like this. No relief for the downtrodden, many of whom are veterans who fought for this country. Link to comment
birteragland 1 Posted November 19, 2008 I met many veterans while travelling around the USA in situations like this, its an appaling state of affairs and does not say much for that country itself.Perhaps its time for its people to say no. Link to comment
mdc002 3 Posted February 6, 2009 Thank you for reminding those of us who are more fortunate. Link to comment
russ_kerlin 0 Posted January 31, 2011 I am personally offended by this photo. I do not deny the homeless issue, but it is not uniquely American. Birte, perhaps you should point your camera inward at your home country first! Link to comment
