Our old Basset Hound soaking-up the sun.

This my first pic with my 'New' 40 year old Rolleicord Va. Life CAN exist without auto-focus and a built-in meter after-all!

This is the first picture I took with a recently purchased 1957

Rolleicord Va. Having cut my teeth on auto exposure, auto focus,

auto advance, etc., this camera offers some new and exciting

challenges. I shot this at f16 for 1/125th of a second as

recommended by my Sekonic meter, which overexposed the shot a bit.

More experiments later. :)

Good shot, but I would lose the out of focus bottom and the big leaves on the right (they are distracting). You can crop the leaves almost totaly without cutting the dog´s ear. Is the dog yours? Looks like a good sunday nap company...

I like the shawdow lines caused by the dog's ears. Not too fond of the leaves on the right but that's a minor concern and I thought the rest of the picture was stellar.

I'm glad to hear that manual photography still exists but don't you think this photo would have been much better using predictive AF? The 10FPS on my camera would also do wonders here :)
