Kim, you have to cut me some slack, I went from a D100 to the D300 bypassing the D200. . . it's been a long wait. . . I'm sure you'll have a D300 soon. .

The 300 is definitely my next purchase. How do you like it? BIG difference from D100 to 200, so I can only imagine how much you are enjoying the 300.

Kim, I really like the D300 . . . it's fast and responsive, has low noise levels, handles difficult exposure situations better, and has 51 focus points which help me when composing a shot. Bird photography is still difficult because I shoot with a slow lens but I believe the tracking has improved.
