hubertgk 0 Posted June 1, 2008 A great photo indeed. I love the framing (cropping), depth of field and light. What I don't like is skin colour. I don't know whether it was your conscious decision to shift it a little bit so that it speaks from within this particilar atmosphere of somewhat "cold" coloured photographs or whether you haven't done it on purpose and the skin colour was a "by product" of the overall colour shift in this picture. I like natural skin colours, but maybe that just me. Also, the skin itself on this picture might need some more texture (even though it's a child, still her skin here, to me at least, seems way too smooth. This problem is well pronounced when you take a look at her lips). Also, there seems to be a bit too much of contrast as far as hair goes, it's just its darker areas that could be more detailed. Other than that, a great picture, nicely composed, fine pastel-like colours, which I like a lot. Regards, Hubert Link to comment
dave5 0 Posted June 1, 2008 thank you all for the comments. I know that the skin color of the face is a bit unnatural, it was a contrasty photo because of the way that the sun fall into her. the 'framing' is natural, I only made changes to the subject. Link to comment
