A split second before or after and this image isn't as good. It's as good a timing as you could possibly get. Nice work!

I looked really close, and I couldn't see any signs that you cropped this from the cover of a magazine like National Geographic!

I can honestly say I didn't know a bear's neck was that long! I think you did a great job on taking a photograph at a decisive moment; it couldn't be any more perfect with the bear and the trout touching nose to nose!

I went and looked at Galen Rowell's, which I hadn't seen previously, but I had seen a couple others (just head shots). I suspect Galen Rowell didn't invent the concept either. This is probably taken at the exact same place as his, but the water plume against the back of the bear and the fish's seeming attempt to arch away from the bear make it somewhat unique I think. Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to elevate myself to Galen Rowell's level.

If we take a picture of a sunset, can't we also say that the concept is not new? Excluding some digital creations I wonder how much photography is truly revolutionary.

Great job! I think many don't truly realize how difficult it is to catch this moment. I can only imagine how long it took to capture this shot and you didn't miss a thing.

The timing and tension are perfect. It's as if the fish is trying to lure the bear off the waterfall. I love it.

Fantastic photographs.I`m jealous of the amount of wildlife that seems to be available to you.(We don`t get Bears in Ireland). It`s really what you`ve done with the nature at your disposal that I appreciate.(I think a visit to Dublin Zoo is in order).I`m looking forward to seeing more of your work.Simon.
