Landrum Kelly 65 Posted September 5, 2002 What a perfect lenticular/cap cloud. Usually the meteorology books show the ones that form in the lee of a mountain, but this one shows one right on top. I think that some publishers of such books might want to see this and use it. Link to comment
seven 0 Posted September 8, 2002 It's a very interesting phenomenon that you've captured here, in fact I've never seen anything like it. There's a fair bit of flare on the right of the cloud and frame : were you wearing a polariser at the time? Thanks for uploading this, highly unusual. Link to comment
gloria_hopkins 0 Posted September 8, 2002 This had unbelievable potential. I think some contrast/levels work in PS might help. Link to comment
pasi_lassila 0 Posted October 10, 2002 I guess this is quite unique sight, or is it? Maybe I would have taken more ground on below, and make picture more to squareform. Now picture kind of sweeps by, and doesn't stop your attention. And that lens-flare on right is always unexpected, but avoidable. Anyway, it's good and rare photo. Link to comment
b_azzara1020 0 Posted October 11, 2002 How interesting. I wish I knew where it was... Link to comment
dennis jones 0 Posted October 12, 2002 If this was better exposed, this would be an outstanding photo. Unique cloud formation. Use of a polarizer filter and or graduated neutral densitiy filter would've taken this along way. Nice capture. Link to comment
stormy meadows 0 Posted October 12, 2002 Wow!! Some fast moving winds up there on top! Link to comment
