Sunset at Penn Cove

Makes me want to grab a fishing pole and relax by the river-and I don't even fish!

Split ND would help; you could darken the sky and bring out color in the water. The horizon is not straight (camera was not level. Good placement of the children, and the diagonal line of shore is good. I think this would have been a little better just after sunset.

The only thing I would change is to straighten the horizon...otherwise, color and composition...right on.

I can even feel the warmth of this picture!! The colors are great, and the silhoueted kids are fantastic.

 

I don´t know about the ND, would only use it if the kids could still be silhouted. The horizon is a bit tilted, but that´s the only flaw I can think of. Although it does not obey the rule of thirds, there´s nothing you could do here. I like the different colors of the sky, and you´d either lose that or the kids, so... Overall, it´s a very nice picture.
