No, its not too dark, as it is before sunrise. I think its nice, but the sky looks a bit empty

Minor Point: I think the horizon is tilted.

I like the mood of this picture even more than the other one, to my surprise. Because it´s dark, I think there´s more character in this one. I like the placement of the rocks better in this than in your other picture too. They fill the sky, adding to the reflexion.
