Ray - Headshot

I like the side lighting a lot and your exposure, especially on the very stark white shirt, is very good, nice detail. For this type of shot, I'd like the addition of a little more frontal lighting which would bring his eyes a bit more to life. There's a bit of heaviness to the shadows, especially relative to the stronger highlighting from the side. Also, I suppose you, the photographer, are being reflected in his eyes, which is a bit of a distraction and possibly making his eyes less strong than they would be with more contrast and direct light.

This portrait stands out from the other model shots because of the soft light which caught my eye.

At this size and res I cannot see any reflections in the eyes. The white shirt is perfect. A great photo of a handsome guy! Thanks for commenting on my photo! Cheers from Canada! -Michael
