Guest Guest Posted June 9, 2008 I like the side lighting a lot and your exposure, especially on the very stark white shirt, is very good, nice detail. For this type of shot, I'd like the addition of a little more frontal lighting which would bring his eyes a bit more to life. There's a bit of heaviness to the shadows, especially relative to the stronger highlighting from the side. Also, I suppose you, the photographer, are being reflected in his eyes, which is a bit of a distraction and possibly making his eyes less strong than they would be with more contrast and direct light. dougbrill 0 Posted June 11, 2008 Great Feedback Fred. I really appreciate it. I never noticed my reflection in his eyes. I like your comments about more front lighting and I will try that next time. Thanks. Doug Link to comment
mhvetbo 0 Posted October 24, 2008 This portrait stands out from the other model shots because of the soft light which caught my eye. At this size and res I cannot see any reflections in the eyes. The white shirt is perfect. A great photo of a handsome guy! Thanks for commenting on my photo! Cheers from Canada! -Michael Link to comment
