Jack McRitchie 150 Posted May 31, 2008 It's hard to believe that this is a straight photo; It looks like Magritte meets de Chirico. I'm a great fan of b&w photos but I can't help but wonder what this was like in color? Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted May 31, 2008 Joe, while I think it's a great subject that you took well to me it looks overprocessed. Link to comment

robertinio 0 Posted June 1, 2008 Very good work, Joe. It is a good idea to combine the natural diagonal of the soft clouds with the cold and clear lines of the steel. It works! Link to comment

jcpopper 0 Posted June 2, 2008 Many thanks to all who took the time to view and comment. Nope, there aren't any added clouds here. Just a central Kansas prairie sky on a windy day in late March. Link to comment

katzpjs 50 Posted June 3, 2008 I figure if I spend 2 to 3 minutes looking at a photograph then I should at a minimum say that I did. I still can't say why I'm attracted to the image. Link to comment

I love the simple, yet captivating elements. It has a very Zen feel to it and the ciontrast and shadows are great. Overall very nice! I am impressed! Take care Katherine Link to comment
s_williams 0 Posted June 8, 2008 Joseph, So much has already been said about this image--congratulations on that success. Let me just add what I believe is another one of its valuable qualities--the architecture! If architecture is all about defining delightful human scaled three dimensional spaces through the careful use of structure, geometry, surface treatment, line, form, and shape, you have created a piece of architecture with an absolute minimum number of devices. The beauty of this minimalist architecture is that it is not beholden to any one particular style or historical reference, but it stands on its own purity, prompting the viewers' imagination.
