Great capture. Interesting how her left arm is motion blurred while the rest of her body is stock still. It would be a bit more interesting if the vases in the background weren't there, but then you'd lose that amazing pose if you captured a different moment.

 

Some might be bothered by the loss of the left elbow, but in my opinion it doesn't hurt the photo at all.

Very intense image, there are no contradictions here: contrast, composition, the stretched body, tones; everything plays the same tune. To be perfect though her face should express drama, should be more dramatic. A very good photo anyhow.

Ya, i really had to push it. 400 -> 800. Theather was poor light conditions. Despite the film low contrast [compared to TMAX], it has low granularity too, worked fine. How did you get it [the pushing idea]?

In what appears to be a very diccult photo opp to capture. Capture it you did.

 

For my eye, what makes this shot work is the expression on the dancers face.
