christian deichert 1 Posted September 4, 2002 Great capture. Interesting how her left arm is motion blurred while the rest of her body is stock still. It would be a bit more interesting if the vases in the background weren't there, but then you'd lose that amazing pose if you captured a different moment. Some might be bothered by the loss of the left elbow, but in my opinion it doesn't hurt the photo at all. Link to comment
glabarca 0 Posted September 4, 2002 Very intense image, there are no contradictions here: contrast, composition, the stretched body, tones; everything plays the same tune. To be perfect though her face should express drama, should be more dramatic. A very good photo anyhow. Link to comment
jampa 0 Posted September 5, 2002 Ya, i really had to push it. 400 -> 800. Theather was poor light conditions. Despite the film low contrast [compared to TMAX], it has low granularity too, worked fine. How did you get it [the pushing idea]? Link to comment
mike_sea 0 Posted October 13, 2002 In what appears to be a very diccult photo opp to capture. Capture it you did. For my eye, what makes this shot work is the expression on the dancers face. Good work - well framed for me Mike Sea Link to comment
