I know the focus is soft. The camera dropped the shutter speed down to

1/10 which normally wouldn't have been a problem with antishake, but

it was also taken at 240mm (360mm equivalent.)

 

I worked on it from the original as-is submission yesterday to bring

out the faces and table, which was what the grab shot was all about.

On the streets, chess game is sometimes a game for three, the 'kibitzer' included which is clearly depicted here and in your title which makes the photo interesting. Nicely documented! - Lester

in harvard sq. in cambridge, there are outdoor chess tables and i always enjoy the way it brings people together. a sense of community you all too often miss in the city. you've captured it beautifully.

It's true that kibitzers are always more interesting than players...
