leighperry 0 Posted May 25, 2008 A companion to this other mud-foregrounded photo. Does this sell you on the presence of the mudshite shore, or reinforce a negative preference? Link to comment
ehoman 0 Posted May 25, 2008 Fog and Water!!! Many times I've went down to a lake side or a pond when there was a heavy fog and I would set there admiring the view and I would play a game of trying to guess what the fog would reveal as it began its slow lift and give way to sunshine. Your image which is well composed supplies that mystery that I always felt. You have a wonderful image here. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted May 26, 2008 I think the lighter color certainly helps, but I still find the difference in texture to be undesirable (especially considering the smooth sand that is in so many of your wonderful compositions). Link to comment
davidroossien 0 Posted May 26, 2008 I like the foreground, but not the middle post. It just sits there and grabs all the attention away from all the interesting details. It even obscures the interesting reflection. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted June 11, 2008 Compositionally, I think the sand works, as well as providing a textural contrast to the still water with its seamless transition to the sky. But emotionally I want to be standing at the edge of the shore comtemplating the tranquility, not being distracted by the shore. Without the sand, I like the post, which works as a re-enforcement of the solitude, or representative of the lone viewer. I do like the image as is, in connection with the rest of the series in your scrapbook. It's good to see you posting again. Link to comment
emmaparra 0 Posted November 25, 2008 Wonderful. That white make me dream. Best Regards Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted December 31, 2008 As compared to the #338 this feels less well balanced, IMO. The post in the middle does not work together with the elements LHS and RHS here.BTW, from your scrapbook, the "Odds and Sods #326" would be my favourite. Another champion is "Marking #306" from your Primitive Markings portfolio , would be great to see new food for thoughts from your work :-)Cheers (and Happy New Year to down under, already)Carsten Link to comment
