Pnina, when I joined photocritiq, Alberto became an instant friend! I agree with you that he was a very special man, a man who was filled with so much affinity for others that it was special to know him for the short time that I did. From photos that I saw, I knew that you met him in Spain only a few weeks before his sudden death. I particularly remember seeing a photo you took of him when you met him. I think it was in his portfolio. So I can understand that you would still be mourning his death. I really do understand that! I still feel a little sad about it now. Even though I knew him for a short time, I had SO much collaboration with him that I will never forget. We should be happy we had the chance to know him, and think of how lucky you were to befriend him in person! His warmth is an inspiration for all of us and this is a quality that is so important in life -- for everyone to strive for.

Thanks for this information, I'm glad you have had contacts with Alberto. He was so kind to people, let alone photographers on the sites. My two days with him while in Madrid was a great pleasure, and I see myself privileged having that time with him. My photo and what I have written about him to his group there , were published in Madrid photo magazin, that did 5 pages in his honor. Here it is.

Yes, that's the photo I remember. He had that posted in his PQ portfolio. Very nice photo, too! What you have written about him in the article is very nice, Pnina. How nice that it was your photo that was used.
