rbanfield 0 Posted May 24, 2008 Juan Carlos, wonderful capture! Like the way the cold colors (background) and the warm colors (foreground) divide the image. Congrats on a great photograph.6/6 anon...RAY Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted May 24, 2008 Beautiful photograph! I like your tight pano crop too. It really enhances the image to include the Colorado River as you have on the left side. Beautiful light and tack-sharp details. This came out very nicely, Juan Carlos. Cheers! Chris Link to comment
pnfphotography 0 Posted May 24, 2008 Very pretty - natures canvas at work - stunning to see in person I bet. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted May 24, 2008 I like how you cropped as a pano, which enhances the horizontal lines. Link to comment
laurentbaig 0 Posted May 24, 2008 Very nice. The only thing that's bugging me is the blown out sky in the upper right. Link to comment
toloduran 0 Posted May 25, 2008 Preciosa panoramica,Juan Carlos.Magnifica composicion, con una excelente luz, tonos y texturas. No me permite puntuarla como se merece, por lo que me abstengo para no bajarte la media. Un cordial saludo -Tolo. Link to comment
cphilpott 0 Posted May 26, 2008 I peg you as a professionally prepared artist, architect or both. You present this image, and your portfolio, as images that capture a sense of place. You capture, the obvious, enough details to provide location, and leave out enough details to genuinely evoke thoughtful observation of the image and a wondering at what is just outside the image. Well done. Link to comment
pam11664882463 0 Posted May 28, 2008 Nice job of capturing the warmth of the bluff in the foreground and the coolness of the canyon and river in the background. Thanks for sharing your wonderful view. Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted May 29, 2008 Raymond, thank you very much for your comment, I really appreciate you took the time to see and comment on this picture. Chris, coming from such a talented landscape photographer as you are, your comment comes as a really nice compliment towards this image. I'm glad that you like this, as much as you did. PNF, thank you, it is indeed one of the most spectacular places of the world; at least the ones that I've been lucky enough to see in person. Joseph, I thought so too, this was conceived as a panorama from the very moment I raised the camera to my eye; I'm glad you like it. Laurent, I'm truly grateful for your time, and your honesty in pointing out what you think about my work, and what's bugging you about it. Agustin, muchas gracias, me alegra que te haya gustado. Saludos, Tolo, con tu visita y comentario es mas que suficiente, de hecho me halaga sobre manera lo que has escrito. Saludos, Craig, you're quite right, I'm an architect; and one that's really grateful for your comment, specially for taking the time to see and analyze my work in such a way. Pam, thank you, the contrast between cool and warm areas, was one of the aspects that really caught my attention when I took this one, nice that you noticed too. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted May 31, 2008 A bit of similar form, but very nice division of cold/warm colors, and the hint of the river.Good light and pano mode. Link to comment
