This makes my head spin, I feal as if I'm being sucked in. I would like it more if it had a more uniform background around the outer edge. You could hang up some sort background (somthing dark) with a hole in the center so you could still see through the center to the stairs. -rjw

ah if i could! I was visiting houston, happen to go into the engineering building, saw this, and snapped it. but yes, sure would make a doozy of a whatchamacallit to have in the living room. i'm not sure if you can tell, but this thing is pretty large, 4 feet across i'd wager.

Fascinating sculpture. This is the situation when you wish somebody would walk by or stick they're face in the center.

interesting idea wes; in fact, i was waiting to make sure no one was in the centre (ppl were walking up and down the steps)--never occurred to me to make them part of the picture

true, you could shove a face in the donut hole there, but why mess up an abstract image with some big gob of nose and ears, i say crop it to a kewl square within the swirly donut thingy, or land the base of it some to let it stand alone, or nothing at all - great shot iddi
