dusty2004 0 Posted May 29, 2008 Hello Christine, you may have heard the term Leading line, This is the line that takes our eye into the picture. In this case it is the waters edge. Our eye is drawn to this line and will follow it searching for a focal point. A point of interest. This what is lacking in this shot. Composition is excellent. Having used the rule of thirds to your advantage. Cheers. Link to comment

LenMarriott 9 Posted June 11, 2008 Christine, At the risk of being called for 'piling on' I'll add to Roy's comment by saying I'm disappointed that the silhouetted figure is partially merging with the darker tones of the surf & would have benefited from a camera position one step to the left to place the head fully against the light reflection in the water. I'll admit that would have been a tough one predict as the surf was rolling at the time and probably looked great through the viewfinder at the time of exposure. The far figure is ideally outlined. That said, who could resist the temptation to record this colourful scene? Best, LM. Link to comment
christineandrews 0 Posted July 2, 2008 I totally agree with your feedback...I took this impromptu photo not realizing how dark the image was on the beach side...thanks again for your input... Link to comment
