john_s._flannery 0 Posted September 2, 2002 It is a fine piece, held together by the reds, with a dark mood about it which is offset by the purity of Gina's unthreatened expression. It would get 10s if I were a number freak. Well done. Link to comment
mg 0 Posted September 6, 2002 I truly like the sensuous mood of this and the expression. The background light and textures is fabulous as well. You really mastered the darkness very well in this one - barely visible details on the legs, just enough, and all the attention goes to the eyes, hair, arm... And the body's curves left in the dark add a question mark to a sensual and mysterious image... Certainly less scary than the eyes in this picture wth the cross...:-) Another great piece... j_rg_gr_ndler 0 Posted September 17, 2002 The red light in front and at the background I paint with a laser pointer- but I had to split the beam with a small piece of crashed metal foil. So you are able to make not only lines with the laser... Link to comment
mcarter 0 Posted December 1, 2002 This one really speaks to me. I've tried the laser pointer idea you described earlier, but I keep either overexposing and blowing out the detail in the background, or I underexpose and the background is barely visible. How do you get so much texture? Is it a muslin or canvas? I am using provia 100 also, but in 35mm format. Link to comment
