raybrizzi 0 Posted May 20, 2008 Nice. It looks like it could be a battle between two robotic fish. Good soft lighting capturing both the incandescent light inside and the fading sunset. Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted May 20, 2008 ... boy, has Valencia changed since I was there last. Great shot of a wonderful vista. Link to comment
shannonholm 1 Posted May 20, 2008 great colors...beautiful sky...great capture of the reflection in the still waters.....but i feel the whole thing looks a little fake and overcooked. where did all the black go? how many sunsets do we see with NO real shadow or black? Link to comment
niqui 0 Posted May 20, 2008 Sal, en tu nivel ,categricamente esplendorosa, un atardecer que parece que se haya metido el sol en esa nave oval del museo de las ciias. felicidades. mi 7/7. amigo.saludos Link to comment
saul_santos_diaz 0 Posted May 21, 2008 Dear Shannon Holm if you know a little bit night lights you will know that they arrive at susnset when a little darkness appears , lights are darker less, contrasted and you can obtain more detail in the shades, until the sky leaves black and the shades you refer to appears with light , this moment happen at sunset when sky has lower light and also with this if all bulidings has artificial light and the sky is reflected in the water, where can be false thing on this ? or it is that perhaps you leave but to patent your ignorance and lack of undertanding in the issue, Regards Link to comment
shannonholm 1 Posted May 21, 2008 i was just pointing out that it looked a little artificial to me....like many of the (IMO) over tweaked HDR images i see on this site. it's all a matter of opinion....some people like this look. i personally think the scene looks a little plastic to me, and prefer something a little more natural. there is no need to get defensive and criticize others knowledge. I thought receiving thoughts on images was the POINT of posting on this site. if you actually read my comment, the majority of it was positive and complimentary and i only pointed out one small thing that i personally believe could improve the image. Ian Shalapata 1,892 Posted June 5, 2008 Saul, This is a nice capture. The sharpness and the reflections are above average. As someone mentioned, however, the colours seem to be somewhat artificial/over saturated. If these are the true colours then so be it, but the colours do not lend themselves favourably. raybrizzi 0 Posted June 6, 2008 I took several shots of scenes like this in film days, with the lights on, just a bit past sunset and a longer exposure with a tripod. At the right moments, it's easy to get shots like this. But they tend to be rather short moments. Link to comment
