Yes, this is a very original picture and I like much the low point of view, the good B&W tonal range, of course, the Place. Like too the opposition of architecture between the beautiful Kremlin and the ugly industrial building on the right side of the picture.

I like a bit less how the wide angle distorses the legs and makes feet too big : too much attractive in the global vision of the picture. I would like the level would be straight : the picture is tilted to the right.

So, I give a good point for originality, less for aesthetics.

Best to you,

Marielou

It is very dynamic composition. I see the Red Square here as a catwalk. Which reminds, looking at her legs, I should wear more often my high heels too, instead of "hobnailed shoes".

I really love this shot, It says a lot about eastern europe as a whole, not just Russia or Moscow where women always look their best when

out and about. You have a great image which would look great in a series or project.

I like it .... the photograph provokes,in me at least, a clandestine view of Red Square. The wide angle, not so square, view of Red square is perfect.

Thanks, Paul T.

i like the ankle-eye view, the clarity, the angle of the sun, everything but those legs. Those legs are awkward, and seem to belong to a woman who has no idea how to walk in high heels. It may be the slope of the brick concourse that throws her off balance, and perhaps this was intentional, as a metaphor for Russia in the 21st century, but my first impression was, that lady is having trouble in those shoes. *g*

Many have described this as a "nice" photo. It is a great photo. A striking imagination putting this scene together, one that has been shot thousands of times, but here with a great and unusual twist that pulls the viewer to the image to investigate the message. Technically, good exposure and sharpness for both the foreground and background. Choice of B&W increases impact. Placement of main subjects in the frame flows nicely and is pleasing to the observer.

Maybe red shoes would add, but could also be too distracting. Some experimentation would be needed.

Congratulations on a great shot, and thank you for sharing.

Excellent shot Konstantin ... one of the best I've seen of Red Square! Wonderful tones and textures in the legs (not bad shape either). Brilliant to do it in black and white! This and "Cheeese" are my favorites. Malodets!

Konstantin,

These days, a modern landscape photograph almost always requires some object of interest to be near the camera. In the mountains, that foreground object might be a blooming mountain flower.

Your modern urban landscape is a very famous cityscape. And you chose an apropos modern, urban forground object, the flower of urbane Russian womanhood in mesh stockings and heels. That is pretty far from the babushka some foreigners would think of.

I think you made a great photo which is bold, eyecatching, and exciting. I wish I had thought of it.

Your choice of angle is wonderful and gives the impression of a 50 foot women is a approaching the square. The tone of the image and fish net stockings with heels gives it a old 1950 movie feel to the image. I don't know what your intentions where for this image but my imagination enjoys this perspective you have chosen for this image.

Yes this a very good shot.

Yes interesting perspective, detail and cropping, but the real beauty in this shot is the fact that it makes you think.

The way the legs are walking, slightly uneasy and clumsy makes you question the person in your shot. This is what really makes this shot stand out for me.

Thanks for the shot,

Tom

LIfe is all about perspective. I like this composition. There is a certain randomness to it and yet it shows us enough to drink in the famous red square and remember the events associated with it. In a philosophical sense it almost brings to fore the perspective that ordinary life goes on, unmindful of the extraordinary history that surrounds it.

And, apart from the interesting photo itself, high heels on cobblestones? Mesh stockings? In Red Square? Whats the world coming to...

Very interesting angle, it seems that the ground bends to the right but if you notice the vertical lines you change your mind.It is curious and very attractive.I would like a colorful version too.Regards

At first glance I was caught up by camera angle as the skewed view is intriguing.

B & W photo leaves viewer wondering: "is this 1948 or 2008?" which further draws viewer into picture. Nice job!

That's a very sassy and purposeful walk; she knows just where she's going and she has just brushed by us/the photographer; is she colluding in this? - she is, even if she doesn't know us/the photographer. Follow me, if you dare; life is where I am. Wonderful shot.

Not bad!

It feels like this lady "secret russian agent of kgb razvedka" knocked you down and you lying on the red square

watching her legs walking away.

I love images of russia.
