Five O'Clock Impression

Good morning El Porte,

 

This beautiful village is Camogli, 1/2 an hour from Genoa. I used to come there often in the 1970-ties. I lived in Genoa - studied there.

 

Wonderful capture - goood balance betweeen beach, sea, architecture, landscape..

To Peter - Yes indeed, 1/2h away in good traffic... Camogli was a jewel in the 70'th and is a jewel ( and still affordable ) today.

Saber esperar la luz, saber esperar la luz: nada mas , y nada menos....Asi se hace pintura y se aprende fotografia. Eso si: cuidado con el halo encima de la torre. Quizas se haya producido al reducir o quizas sea en el monitor, pero como decia Paul Valery "Nada mas sucio que un lirio manchado". Enhorabuena por esta maravillosa imagen. Thank you for the kind exaggeration..;) However, I think in photography is no objective comparison possible. Good or less is a question of the individual interpretation and very much depending on the mood of the viewer at that very moment...so, Anyway I always enjoy to read your comprehensive comments. A wonderful composition , with all the elements perfectly exposed to produce a beautiful picture.

If you didn't rate my photo I will, probably, never came across this wonderful landscape of yours.

It's good to know that there are still places like this. That blue laundry on tiramolla is the touch which gives sense to whole picture.
