dseltzer 0 Posted May 15, 2008 I know there are scads of flower and similar pics, all the time, and especially this time of year, so forgive any redundancy or mundane subject matter. My aim was to try and present an old, very over used subject in a new an interesting composition that people would enjoy looking at. Is there any novelty to this? Does it strike you as creative and not just another flower picture? What do you think of the composition? Thanks in advance for taking the time to look and comment. Link to comment
atphotography 0 Posted May 15, 2008 To me, since the focus is on a single seed. It asks a question of, where will the wind carry me? It is a great picture for that alone. And the composition is well done. So I believe you breathed new life into it. Excellent work. Link to comment
mdineen 0 Posted May 15, 2008 not just another flower picture. very impressive dof, and background. i don't want to sound like a fool, but the seed seems like it's celebrating. great image Link to comment
dseltzer 0 Posted May 16, 2008 Far from a fool! I'm really pleased you see this seed as celebrating. To me, it's just about to dance. I think we're seeing the same quality of exuberance that I wanted to show. Thank you very much! Link to comment
jcpopper 0 Posted May 18, 2008 I really like this David. It does have an exuberant quality, and it's a very well composed image with excellent color and artful DoF. Warm regards... Link to comment

gordonjb 10,860 Posted June 19, 2008 Late to the party here but let me add a voice of support to your effort with this photo. The act of isolating that single parachute amongst the others is what makes this work. As has been mention before this give that one individual a personality and a mission unto itself. Let freedom fly! At least until your neighbour gets the weed killer out :-) Link to comment
dseltzer 0 Posted June 19, 2008 All the neighbors with all the week killer they like still can't make a dent in these prolific and hardy plants! It's one of the bazillion or so bits of nature that amaze me... that such tough and tenacious (and very pretty, too!) plants can come from such delicate beginnings. I'm glad this works for you. I wasn't sure how best to do it, and hoped isolating one parachute would help distinguish this from just another dandelion seed head shot. Thanks! Link to comment
