I can't seem to get rid of the date stamp. I tried cloning and I keep

getting different shades of the color. Please comment.

You have an excellent excuse to go back to the lake... Recreate the photo and take the next one with the date turned off :-)

Seriously, when you clone turn the opacity down and go over the area multiple times. Here's a quick 5 minute fix... Mike
