I think this could be a much stronger image, if you were to crop the left side to almost the sleeve of the blue coat. The facial expressions are emotional, and you've caught one of the mini peaks of the conversation between these women.

Great definition of the subject and good outside fire of the background.

peter, the only problem of your pics is that they have to be seen all togheter. In a book, i suggest. The person you show tells about the life of your town in a very complete and sweet way.

Glenn; Yes, I agree with you. Technically these images could always been better - and there is surely room for improvement.

But bear in mind that these are street snaps. Not more, not less. But yes, there are possibilites in the post-processing in terms of cropping, etc.

Andrea; I agree with you that my images are perhaps best seen in larger tematic context. I have no immediate plans for publishing but the thought is regularly crossed my mind.
