dacamera 0 Posted May 13, 2008 Thanks for the comments everyone. Hi Bob, it's no secret. It's just the effect of USM on the texture of the stone. See the comments in my picture 'Blasted' and Mark Geistweite explains how to do it. Simon Link to comment
seungkyelee 0 Posted May 14, 2008 This compo has it all from rocks, forest, sky and water. Intriguing framing and very nicely exposed...Beautiful work! Link to comment
jana 1 Posted May 15, 2008 nicely seen ! Have You considered cropping the above part and make it a square format? It , also , could result in a great image . cheers Jana Link to comment

ian cameron 0 Posted May 16, 2008 Hi Simon that looks suspiciously like those delightful little potholes that festoon the cataracts around the Glen Orchy Falls. A wonderful place that is easily passed by - bl**dy dangerous when its wet though. Great strong foreground once again and the whole feel is very organic. Link to comment
bradkim 8 Posted May 17, 2008 What a wonderful capture, Simon... You are a great photographer! Link to comment

carsten_ranke 0 Posted May 18, 2008 Makes me dizzy - enormous depth and motion. The whole scene is a bit tilted, not bad for even more dynamics but bothers me a bit Link to comment
newfocus 0 Posted June 5, 2008 I keep coming back to this one. It has an enormous amount of interest in the details and the flowing shapes in the comp are fantastic. Link to comment
liowjohn 0 Posted June 14, 2008 You have an excellent eye for lanscape compositions! May I know how you kept the exposure for both the sky and the FG spot on? Did you use filters or merge 2 pics into one? Whatever it is, it was well done! Link to comment
dacamera 0 Posted June 14, 2008 Hi John, many thanks for the comments. I balanced the exposure with a three stop neutral density filter over just the sky. Simon Link to comment
