I gave up cigars 3 weeks ago and still miss them. Ahem.

 

Anyway, I like this. Great lighting, focus, subject matter, color. To me, I would have slid her over to the right, giving the smoke a little more room. Other than that, this photo is very interesting and well done.

fran, i like this. there are several aspects of it that i wish you had controlled differently. i like her gaze, however, it does not quite seem to match the cigar smoke. as a cigar smoker myself, i can tell you that she is not quite a natural cigar smoker. the hat is distracting. it has too much going on and i certainly find the crop to be intrusive. so perhaps no hat or a darker plain hat might have been a better bet. her body is more tanned than the fingers.

 

yet despite all the above, i like your composition quite a lot.

Good photo. Maybe try again without the woman holding the Cigar. I don't think it makes her look that attractive. Just my opinion.

I REALLY wish she wasnt wearing that hat, and her eyes seem lost.
