RickDB 10 Posted May 15, 2008 The two figures, who barely moved during 6 exposures, lend scale the the massive, yet elegant, gothic architecture. Comments welcome. Link to comment
starvy 7 Posted May 15, 2008 compositionally, this is really very good. excellent exposure, detail and contrast. if you had not stated this was hdr i simply would have taken this to be an excellent single exposure on its own. Link to comment

RickDB 10 Posted May 17, 2008 ...Starvy, when you say that this might have been a single exposure, thats exactly what I tried to achieve. I don't want you to be aware of the photographic technique, but just to see and feel this magnificent church as I did. HDR is particulary useful for scenes like this and with some practice can give natural looking pictures. Cynthia - I love this gothic perpendicular architecture. It is quite amazing that this took two hundred years to complete and yet retains a remarkable unity of style. Salvador - Dennis did a good job of demonstrating how to take these sort of pictures! I note you are thinking of getting a PC lens and from what you have shown us, the churches and cathedrals of Mexico deserve such treatment - of course you will have to visit them all again! Rosa - This was shot at f22, and with a wide angle lens you get a huge dof - of course you will need a tripod! Link to comment
