matthewwilson 0 Posted October 5, 2008 Wonderful expression on his face. Not sure if he is confused why you are taking his picture or if he wants to hit you. Great diverse portfolio by the way. Link to comment
Apurva Madia 0 Posted October 27, 2008 Color sharpness etc spot on. Great capture of expression. This may conform to a genre practiced by Bruce Gilden! Congratulations on a wonderful photo. Link to comment

peter.blum 0 Posted October 31, 2008 Hello Friends, Thanks for your comments. His sly expression may indicate that he was in deep thoughts, somewhere far away. Perhaps he was not happy with the colors of his new jacket.. Or that he simply wasn't particularly happy about being photographed. Or both. But his jacket fascinated me. And clothes are important, especially in a place like Vienna. Bruce Gilden is not for me a good example on how to take street pictures. Although I almost never asked for permission, I never run on to people, stunning their faces with a sudden flashlight from the camera only to disappear moments later. Discretion, respect and trying to blend in, is for me a better way. As well as letting the people come towards you (and passing) rather than descend on them like an eagle from the sky, about to take - and devour - his pray. All the best Peter Link to comment
vetterhome1 0 Posted November 1, 2008 It made me smiling. The form of the walk and the 3other in the background fit each other. BR Joerg Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 304 Posted November 2, 2008 The guy looks like the French president, that with a Mob name! Good that he bought him a new jacket before his personal card was broke in, ha! PDE Link to comment
tsypkin 230 Posted November 21, 2008 The man' expression is priceless! And the combination of his black shoes, socks and pants with the screaming color of his jacket is terrific. A great capture! Link to comment
