kari_schwartz 0 Posted May 11, 2008 I don't really know much about photography, or anything about photography for that matter, and that's why I'm here. To learn. So, please critique my work, any thoughts or comments are highly appreciated. Link to comment

marzio maglietta 0 Posted May 11, 2008 I like very much light and composition, but without the time\date I think is better. Marzio Link to comment
raybrizzi 0 Posted May 11, 2008 Well you're off to a great start! Just lose the time stamp. The back is a little washed out, but you're working with a pretty wide range of light here. Just to see the difference, crop the top of the arch so the leaves don't show through and distract. This is a great site for learning. I think my work has improved more in the last few months because of all the feedback and seeing techniques of others much better than me, than in years of working with no feedback. Link to comment
victorwei 0 Posted May 11, 2008 Great composition! You sure have talent even as a beginner. There are quite a few good ideas from other more experienced photographers above. I have to admit I am a beginner too. So here are a couple of suggestions from one to another. From what I can tell from the posted image, you may want to try to: - reduce the highlight in the far background - crop out the bottom until you lose the time stamp, thereby giving the whole image a wider aspect look. Have you tried to present in color? Link to comment
ecorum 0 Posted May 11, 2008 this is a very gorgeous picture. other than the time stamp at the bottom it's awesome. good job. Link to comment
nadopix 0 Posted June 5, 2008 YEah, lose the stamp, but probably your strongest photo on PN to date. The middle of the picture may be a little washed out, but continue exploring with this light. Using darker themed foregrounds, progressing to lighter backgrounds gives a 3-D quality. Link to comment
