kyle_burt 0 Posted August 31, 2002 Incredible Photo!! Very nice composition, great exposure, lighting. What more can I say. It seems more like a living tree stump than a lava flow. Link to comment

tom_schonhoff 0 Posted September 1, 2002 I'm distracted by the ruby-red color of the glowing magma, which almost certainly radiates much more in the orange-yellow segment. Is this color shift possibly an artifact of your scan? Link to comment
michael_cassera 0 Posted September 2, 2002 Can't think of anything I would change! Beatiful Photo! Link to comment
rash 0 Posted September 6, 2002 Awesome photo. I agree with one of the above comments on the colour of the magma, however I think it adds to the picture rather nicely as the highlight. Link to comment
nelson cotrim 0 Posted September 11, 2002 Couldn't agree more with Kurt!! At first I thought it was a B&W tree trunk which you reddened in the shadows using PS or something, but now... If that was your intention, it was a fantastic idea!!!! And I do prefer the red magma than the possible orange, it adds to the B&W composition. Congrats, NC Link to comment
terry_wells 0 Posted September 17, 2002 You have no idea how fortunate you are to have stumbled upon this shot. This is the kind of art I want to happen up on...natural,not posed...simple, yet provocative. I would put this on my wall. Bravo! Terry Link to comment

mg 0 Posted January 13, 2003 I'd like it a bit darker in the highlight. Still, good shot. Link to comment
