A local arachnid enjoying the California sun.

I went looking for spiders in the back yard. This is what I found.

Not a lot to add.

I like this photo. The color is very subtle and it is well composed. On my monitor it is a little dark.

It is a bit dark, but I wonder how much of a choice of light Phil had. It's wonderful how out of focus everything but the spider is - there's no doubt whatsoever what we should be watching.
