Improve it? Technically and aesthetically this image is beautiful, nicely composed with warm light and wide color range. The only thing that would concern me is sharpness which needed to be a little bit more and surely has to do with your lens. If you wish to achieve a more.....wow.... result then given the fact that you use a Sony alpha body....a Carl Zeiss lens is the only choise for you!Well done, very cute shot!Greetings from Greece

For the most part as stated before- technically a sound shot. A little more bokeh in background would help but then you need a better lens as suggested. Centering your focal point is not always the best thing. The squrrel could have been in the right third of the image- your eyes move left to right. The way you set this shot up- my eyes go immediately to the center and no where else. You will have images that require focus from front to back or left to right or up and down. Just some ideas to consider. Crop some of the edges here could help.
